Does Slim upload my photos anywhere? No. All compression happens entirely on your device using Apple’s own encoders. Your photos and videos never leave your phone, and there is no account or server.
Will I lose my originals? Only if you choose to. After compressing, Slim asks you to confirm before moving originals to your device’s “Recently Deleted” album, where they stay recoverable for 30 days. To reclaim space immediately, empty “Recently Deleted” in the Photos app.
Does Slim keep my photo dates and locations? Yes. Capture date, location, and album membership are preserved on the compressed copies. Live Photos keep their motion.
What does Slim Pro include? The free version lets you reclaim up to 1 GB. Slim Pro removes that cap for unlimited compression. It’s available as a Monthly or Annual subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Manage subscriptions in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
How do I restore a purchase? Tap “Restore Purchases” at the top of the paywall screen in the App.
How do I request a refund? Refunds are handled by Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
